GAP: Statement of Faith
The Lord our God is eternally one God:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Humanity is made in the likeness and image of God.
Jesus Christ died on the cross in our place. He rose from the dead and ascended to be with the Father. He will return again.
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and works in our hearts, through the Word of God, granting us an understanding of Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross.
The Holy Spirit enables people to repent of their selfish ways and put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. For all have sinned and fallen short of God's glorious standard.
Yet God's love for humanity is what caused Jesus to die for us. Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The Bible is the written Word of God and our supreme authority for faith and conduct.
The Church is the body of Christ. Christ is the head of His church. The Church is held together and grows through the one Spirit; as a fellowship of believers throughout the world and as local gatherings of people who worship God.
